Project Overview

The new 265,000 sq. ft. UC Davis 48X complex houses the ambulatory surgery center. This facility provides (12) ORs, 58 pre/post-operative recovery bays, 14 single-occupant recovery rooms, and associated support space to the campus.

Mechanical Highlights

The HVAC design includes:

• Connection to the campus chilled and heating water systems

• Custom 4-pipe rooftop air handling units serving the surgical and support spaces

• Zone and pressure control via VAV systems

• Active Humidification systems for surgical support areas
